A Chocolate Extravaganza – A Creative Way to Connect with Other Women

Events

31 Jul

On a Friday evening in May a friend from Church hosted A Chocolate Extravaganza – A Creative Way to Connect with Other Women.  The reason she planned the event was to help the women of the Church connect and to make them feel special.  She definitely exceeded her goal.

It was obvious from the food, craft table, and games table that a lot of thought and effort had gone into the planning and preparations for the event.

Women Connecting

Connections are only made when you spend time with another person.  It is hard to build relationships with other women when you only see them once a week for a few minutes.  Building relationships takes time.

She spent several months planning and hours preparing the food for A Chocolate Extravaganza- A Creative Way to Connect with Other Women.  It was a really fun and relaxing evening with lots of chocolate, games, and a few vendors displaying their products.  I provided the decorations and took the photos.

I did learn a valuable lesson.  Before leaving home, always check your camera to make sure you have the SD card inserted in the camera.   Shortly before A Chocolate Extravaganza – A Creative Way to Connect with Other Women began, I decided to take pictures of all the table decorations.  After snapping the first picture, I realized something wasn’t functioning correctly with the camera.

I had failed to insert the SD card back into camera after I had downloaded my pictures.  I drove back home and retrieved the SD card and quickly returned to the event.

Chocolate and More Chocolate

The tables were filled with candies, two Chocolate fountains, brownies, marshmallow treats, pretzels, cupcakes, cake pops, and fruit.  Everything to please a chocolate lovers delight.

My friend provided a short encouraging devotional.

A Beautifully Decorated Crafts Table

She provided a beautifully decorated crafts table with vintage perfume bottles, tray, and an elaborate candleholder.  Many of the women enjoyed choosing a coloring page and pens while sitting and connecting with other women.

There was a games table with a variety of games that provided several hours of fun.

It was nice to stop by each vendor table and look over the products for sale.

A Chocolate Extravaganza – A Creative Way to Connect with Other Women is the perfect creative way to practice Biblical Hospitality.  Each woman felt welcomed, special, and enjoyed a night of delicious food and fellowship.
