To create simple table decorations requires only a few items. If you feel you are not creative when it comes to table decorations you can learn how to create a simple flower arrangement that adds just the right touch.
Remember, keep everything simple. The focus is always the guests.
Creating Simple Table Decorations:
Items you will need:
- Neutral table cloth
- Mason Jar
- Small mirror
- Table runner
My go-to item for any event is a Mason jar. In fact, I love them so much I have a large collection. I love the simplicity and the size. They fit on most any table without overwhelming the table.
If you want to keep the table decorations really simple use the Mason jar and purchase a bouquet of flowers from your local grocery store. I usually purchase my bouquet from Kroger. My Kroger store is well-stocked with a large variety of fresh flowers that are nicely displayed.
I usually purchase two bouquets of Baby’s Breath and another bouquet of Roses or a bouquet with a variety of different colored flowers.
How to assemble the arrangement:
Fill the Mason jar with water leaving about an inch from the top of the jar so it doesn’t overflow when you add the arrangement.
After removing the Baby’s Breath from the plastic, cut the Baby’s Breath to the desired length and place in the jar. When cutting the Baby’s breath, you want the arrangement to be full. You don’t want the arrangement to stand too tall in the Mason jar. (see the picture below for an example).
Fluff out the Baby’s Breath to make the arrangement full. I like my arrangement full so that is why I always purchase two arrangements of Baby’s Breath.
When you have the Baby’s Breath fluffed, you are ready to add the other flowers. I cut each flower individually and then add it to my arrangement. When I have added all of the flowers, I usually stand back and look to make sure it looks balanced and is full enough.
Now that you have finished the arrangement, you can add a ribbon to the rim of the Mason jar and tie it in a bow.
Add the arrangement to your table and you are set for a wonderful time with your guests.
